Interpreting Audit Results Legend

The Interpreting Audit Results legend shows definitions for the icons, course codes, and special grades seen on the TDA.

When you click on a course that meets a specific requirement, the university catalog details for the course appear in a new window. You can also view section details for the upcoming/current term.

Courses that are in progress are shown as IP.

When viewing the courses that fulfill a requirement, you may notice some have a notation in parentheses after them. Be sure to review the language in the parenthesis carefully to make sure you understand when the course is valid for the requirement.
- In some cases, a course may only meet a requirement if taken during a specific semester or after that semester. In the above example, if you look at the COMM courses that meet the Social Sciences (GE-D) requirement, you'll see that COMM 333 meets the requirement but only if taken in Fall 2000 or after. COMM 315 meets the requirement but only if taken Fall 2020 or after. And COMM 370 meets the requirement but only if taken in Fall 2018 or after.
- In some cases, a course may only meet a requirement if taken during a specific semester or before. In the above example, notice that AMST 320 meets the Social Sciences (GE-D) requirement but only if it was taken in Summer Session 2017 or earlier.

- If there are unfulfilled requirements, you will see a notation at the top of the body of the TDA.
- Final Evaluation will show the status of the evaluation of transfer coursework (if applicable). This section will also show the student's Grad Checkout Status when applicable.
- A link to more information is provided for the Office of Admissions if official transcripts or exam credit need to be submitted.
- Contact information for the Graduation Unit is provided if a grad check has been submitted.
- The Legend shows the symbols that are used throughout the TDA.
Note that the General Education pattern will differ depending on the catalog year.
This section consists of the General Education requirements, starting with the Core Competencies. There are symbols next to each requirement indicating whether the requirement is complete, planned, in progress, or unfulfilled (view the Interpreting Audit Results legend for details). When a requirement has been met, the course that met the requirement is listed along with the grade received. Where the requirement has not been met, a list of eligible courses appears.
Click on an eligible course to learn more about it.
Note that the planned courses will not appear unless the student has used Titan Degree Planner to plan their courses AND the Show Planned Courses option was selected when the TDA was run.
Note that if a transfer course met a GE requirement, the transfer school will show along with the course title.
General Education Summary

At the end of the GE section is a summary of the units needed to meet general education requirements and how many units have been earned so far.
Titan Degree Audit Major Requirements
The list of major requirements varies per program. Most include the following course types:
- Core
- Required Concentration Courses
- Concentration Electives
- All majors have a minimum grade point average requirement.
- In this major, Biochemistry, there are Basic Courses, Senior Research Courses, Upper Division Electives, and Biochemistry-related Math, Biology, and Physics Courses.
GPA of Attempted Major Courses

At the end of the major requirements, the latest units earned and GPA summary will display.

NOTE: Effective May 25, 2012, undergraduate students are no longer required to take the EWP for their baccalaureate degree. Only graduate students whose program requires the EWP must take this exam.
The Upper Division Writing Requirement is specific to each major.

The Graduation Requirement indicates if the student has met the required 3-unit American Government course requirement for graduation.

If the student has completed courses that are not specifically applied to GE or major requirements, they will be listed in this section as either counting towards the degree or no degree credit.

Special Unit Totals indicates the special semester units that have been applied or not applied to the degree requirements.

Unit/GPA Adjustments shows the courses that have had grade forgiveness applied and have been removed from the GPA and earned unit calculations.
The Summary of Units section provides overall information on unit and GPA requirements.
- Unit Requirements indicates units earned at CSUF, CSUF GPA, upper division units earned, residence upper division units earned, and major residence upper division units earned.
- Transfer Institution Totals indicates units earned and GPA from all of your transfer institutions (if applicable).
- Cumulative Number of Units indicates the most current total number of units earned that are applicable to the undergraduate degree.
- Cumulative GPA indicates the most current GPA for all attempted units applicable to the undergraduate degree.
- Coursework provides a historical listing of courses completed at other institutions and all courses enrolled in and/or completed at CSUF by semester.
- Note for each semester, the student's academic standing is listed.
