My Equity Gap Report
This article covers how faculty can use the My Equity Gap report on the Faculty Student Success Dashboard (FSSD).
What does this report show?
The My Equity Gap report allows you to view your class data according to various opportunity gap categories.
1. Log in to the campus portal and access the Faculty Dashboard (FSSD).
2. Click on the My Equity Gap tab.
Report Overview
By default, you will usually see data on all students in your classes for a previous semester.
- Report filters
- My Equity Gap/Opportunity Gap Graph: This graph will show the average GPA of your students for each class/section organized by the selected parameter above the graph.
- My Equity Gap/Opportunity Gap Table: This table will show the average GPA of your students for each class/section organized by the selected parameter above the graph.
- Additional details about this report and where to get help.
- A link to the FSSD Bot for assistance with this report.
Report Filters
You can use the filters at the top of the report to view information for different terms or narrow down the list of students by different variables.
Learn more about how to use filters in TitanInsights, including how to search for a value you want (e.g., searching for a specific term like Summer 2024).
Filter Descriptions
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Term Desc | The academic term for which you want to view data. |
| Class |
Choose from a list of the classes/sections for which you are an instructor or view data for all of your classes/sections. |
| Major at Entry | Choose from a list of your students' majors upon entering CSUF or view data for all of your students. |
| Latest Major | Choose from a list of your students' current majors or view data for all of your students. |
My Equity Gap/Opportunity Gap - Graph
Select a parameter above the graph to choose the information you want to view in the graph and table. The default parameter is Underrepresented.
Legend
The legend on the far right shows you what information is represented by each color in the bar graphs.
Available Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| EOP | Organizes the data by the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Participation status of the students. |
| Ethnicity | Organizes the data by the reported ethnicity of the students. |
| Parent Education Level | Organizes the data by the reported highest level of education completed by the students’ parents. |
| Term | Organizes the data by the selected term. |
| Underrepresented | Organizes the data by the underrepresented status of the students. |
My Equity Gap/Opportunity Gap - Table
The table shows the same information as the chart. The columns will change depending on the parameter that you select above the chart.
