Jaylene

How many tickets are we eligible for? Can we request more if we need more?

Lori Arthur

Hi Jaylene! Please reach out to [email protected] to get the answer to your question. I believe there are several factors that contribute to how many tickets each student is eligible for and they would be more knowledgeable about that.

Angelina Guzman

Why does it say there are no longer tickets available??

Lori Arthur

Hi Angelina! According to an email sent by the Commencement team last Friday, tickets are available starting today, February 14th for fall semester graduates. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have additional questions.

Rebecca

What time are we able to register for the tickets today? I don't see it on my academic records.

Lori Arthur

Hi Rebecca! Unfortunately, I don't have information on that. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Janet

I did not receive any of the emails sent out regarding commencement even though I graduated Fall 2021. Is there anyway to fix this?

Lori Arthur

Hi Janet! You may want to reach out to the Graduation Unit to make sure that they show you as a graduate (e.g., your grad check was processed properly). Their contact info is here: http://records.fullerton.edu/graduation.

Jan

I'm graduating this Spring 22 so according to the email send out we will register at a later time?

Lori Arthur

Hi Jan! Yes, you will be registering at another time. I expect you'll get an email letting you know the specific date, but you can reach out to [email protected] for more information.

Rina

When I am registering, it says to me "tickets are no longer available". I emailed [email protected] on Monday and I didn't got email from representative (I just received automatic reply but didn't help). should I register now or wait for further information?

Mauricio Correa

If we graduated in Fall 2020, can we participate for the upcoming ceremony?

Lori Arthur

Hi Rina! Unfortunately, I don't have any information on what you should do in this situation. I'm sure the Commencement Team has received a lot of emails, so it may take time for them to get back to you. I would recommend reaching out to your major department; many colleges/departments have a Commencement coordinator and that person may have more information for you.

Lori Arthur

Hi Mauricio! Unfortunately, I don't know if you are able to attend the 2022 Commencement. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance. You can also try reaching out to your major department to see if they are able to answer your question.

Brenda Perna

I am another person for whom it says "Tickets are no longer available. Ticket distribution will begin in March." There is no option to select any number other than zero for the tickets. Will this update automatically? Should we check in the system by a certain date for that error to be resolved?
I also did not receive an email notifying me of commencement registration, even though I have received other communications about my diploma. Is this a university-wide problem, or is it limited to the College of Education?

Lori Arthur

Hi Brenda! Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the specifics of Commencement tickets. I do know that only graduates for Fall 2021 were eligible to start getting tickets for Commencement starting on February 14th, but I'm not sure if the March date is for Spring 2022 graduates or another student population.

I've gotten a bunch of questions here, so I know there is quite a lot of confusion. I would recommend reaching out to either the College of Education or your specific major department for assistance. There is usually a Commencement coordinator for the college and/or department who may know more about the current situation and should be able to check if you are on the college's list of graduates eligible to attend Commencement. They can also let you know if you need to contact the Commencement team directly ([email protected]) or if they can resolve the issue of your not receiving emails about Commencement registration.

Brianna G

Hi I am also another person who finished classes dec 2021...but it's also telling me no more tickets available...shouldn't there be enough tickets for all that have finished in the fall?

Lori Arthur

Hi Brianna! Unfortunately, I don't have any details about the Commencement ticket status. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance. You can also try reaching out to your major department to see if they have information; there is often a Commencement coordinator for each college/department.

Jesse G

Hello, I am also a person who finished classes Fall 2021, but it is also says there are no more tickets available. The only option that it is giving me zero tickets. Is there anyway if I finish the registration process for the ceremony, can I update the amount of tickets I need for the ceremony when tickets are available in March?

Camille Johnson

Hi, Jesse! I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems with the system. The folks monitoring this article are not part of the Commencement Team, so we unfortunately don't have any information about the current ticket situation. Please reach out to the university Commencement Team at [email protected] if you haven't already. They have received a large volume of emails, so you can also try contacting your major department to see if they can provide you with more information or get you in touch with your college's commencement committee.

Michelle O.

Hello, I have been trying to access the commencement registration but it does not show up on my student homepage and I have already paid the graduation fee aswell, I believe. I will be graduating fall 2022. thank you!

Camille Johnson

Hi Michelle! The May 2022 commencement ceremony will be celebrating graduates from Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022. Fall 2022 graduates will be part of the graduating class of 2023 and will be honored in the commencement exercises that year.

Janet Baker

I am a MSIDT Graduate student graduating this Spring 20222. I am another person for whom it says "Tickets are no longer available. Ticket distribution will begin in March." There is no option to select any number other than zero for the tickets. Will this update automatically? Should we check in the system by a certain date for that error to be resolved?
I also did not receive an email notifying me of commencement registration, even though I have applied for grad check in January. Is this a university-wide problem, or is it limited to the College of Education?

Deborah Cuevas

I understand that the allotment has not been announced for Fall 2022 graduates, but in the case that I don't think I have received enough tickets for my family, would it be possible to request more tickets? If so, would this be guaranteed and how? Thank you.

Deborah Cuevas

I'm sorry, I made a huge mistake on my original comment. I am graduating this Spring 2022, not the Fall! Thank you for understanding.

Lori Arthur

Hi Janet! Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the status of Commencement tickets. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance. You can also try reaching out to the MSIDT department or the College of Education for assistance; they are more likely to have current information on tickets.

Lori Arthur

Hi Deborah! Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the status of Commencement tickets. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance. You can also try reaching out to your major department to see if they have information; there is often a Commencement coordinator for each college/department.

Mariana Medeiros

How do I claim my 8 commencement tickets?

Lori Arthur

Hi Mariana! If you follow the steps above in this article, you should be able to claim your Commencement tickets (see step 5.4 above).

Brenda Perna

Hi. I see that your team is saying you can't help any of us with the problem of not being able to actually select any tickets and is referring us to the commencement team, but just so you know, I have not received a response from them at all, so all of us who have been seeking information on how to actually obtain tickets are stuck in limbo with no answer or resolution.

Lori Arthur

Hi Brenda! I'm so sorry to hear that. The only additional information I was able to find out is that an email was sent out recently with more details about Commencement. Here is when tickets should be available:

Fall 2021 graduates: February 19th

Spring 2022 graduates: March 9th

Summer 2022 graduates: April 1st

If you are a part of a group that should be able to get tickets now, you can try reaching out to your major department or college for assistance.

Angelita Arellano

Are we able to obtain more tickets for Spring 2022 graduates? Or is it a set amount of 8?

Camille Johnson

Hi Angelita! At this time, the university has set the maximum number at 8. In the past, leftover tickets would be disseminated to the colleges after the claim deadline to distribute at their discretion. I'm not sure if this will also be the case this year but you may want to keep in touch with your major department/college commencement team in case they receive further notice about this.

Angel

I just registered for commencement for spring 2022 and it does not let me print tickets. Do I have to put my email for all 8 fields and print that way?

Lori Arthur

Hi Angel! Yes, you would need to put your email address in each field if you want to print each ticket. Or you can put the email address of your guest and your guest will be able to print the ticket themselves.

Tilak Ghorashainee

Why I don’t see commencement registration in my student portal because I am going going to graduation this semister. And second thinking where should I get my recommendation letter to attendees my parent in my graduation ceremony.

Camille Johnson

Hi Tilak! The commencement registration will only show up on the portal after the grad check process has been completed which will confirm a student's candidacy. You can reach out to your major academic advisor regarding your grad check.

Please refer to the following link with instructions on preparing an invitation letter for your parents to attend graduation: https://ueestatic.fullerton.edu/static/ip/pdf/iss/invitation-letter-template.pdf

If you have additional questions on preparing this letter, you can contact the International Students and Scholars office for guidance via their online contact form at: https://extension.fullerton.edu/international/contact.aspx

Ian Douglas Kent

I just completed the commencement form and added my parent's email address after each ticket. Then clicked on email. It said it went through but nothing is showing up in the email inbox.

Lori Arthur

Hi Ian! It may take a little time for the emails to go through. You'll also want to have your parents check their Junk or Spam folders in case the emails were marked as spam. If they don't see the emails by tomorrow, I would recommend logging back in and changing the email address for the tickets to your CSUF email address. You can always forward the emails to your parents; there shouldn't be a problem if they print a ticket from a forwarded email.

Elora Camacho

I just filled out all my information, and my major is listed but not my minor and my certificate I'm getting. Those will be announced along with my degree etc. right?

Veronica Lewis

Hello
The Commencement Registration tab isn't showing in the academic records portal. I paid the graduation fee. Do I need to wait for the payment to process before the commencement tab appears?

Camille Johnson

Hi Veronica! The absence of the Commencement Registration tab could be due to a number of issues such as pending payment or grad check, etc. You can click on "View Graduation Status" in the Academic Records portal to get more information about the status of your candidacy. When everything is finalized, the registration tab should appear.

Camille Johnson

Hi Elora! From what I've experienced in the past, only major degrees are announced at Commencement. You can check with your department/college commencement committee to see if they will allow announcement of minors and certificates at their ceremony.

Ramzieh Kanaan

Hi,
I was wondering if the degree also displays a minor. I have minored in a subject that's not related to ECS. Does it still show on my degree overall, or do I have to get another degree? Thank you.

Camille Johnson

Hi Ramzieh! Your minor will be written on your diploma and transcript.

Marjorie

How long do you guys take to reply to emails? I’ve been having trouble with signing up for commencement and my grad counselor has even tried reaching out but we haven’t heard anything back.

Camille Johnson

Hi Marjorie! I'm sorry you've haven't gotten a response yet. The team monitoring this article isn't part of the Commencement team, so we can't speak to how long response times might be for them. If you're having technical issues signing up for commencement, you can try reaching out to the Helpdesk at [email protected] or 657-278-8888 to see if that's something they can resolve.

Tai Danh

Is there a recommended place to get a cap and gown?

Camille Johnson

Hi Tai! We recommend that you purchase your regalia at Titan Shops. They will start accepting orders next month. Grad Fest will be from April 12-14 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, so you can attend if you would like to see the items in person and speak with representatives who can help you pick out what you need. Online ordering will be available as well if you are unable to attend Grad Fest.

Lauren A Gonzalez

Do babies need a ticket or only adults?

Camille Johnson

Hi Lauren! According to the FAQs on the Commencement website (http://www.fullerton.edu/commencement/) children over the age of 2 need a ticket.

Matt Kim

For "Name to be Read and Displayed at the ceremony", do we need to put our legal name, or are we allowed to put our preferred name on there?

Camille Johnson

Hi Matt! You can submit your preferred name to be announced at the ceremony. Please note that if you do not type anything into this field, it will default to your official name on record.

Melissa Madrigal

Hello, just like everyone else, I have been trying to access the commencement registration "Marching-order" tab but it does not show up on my student homepage and I have already had a grad check with my advisor, applied, and paid the graduation fee. I am a Summer '22 candidate and do not want to miss the date to register to walk what are my next steps. Thank you

Camille Johnson

Hi Melissa! At this time, there is an issue with Marching Orders that the university is working with the vendor to fix, so the Registering for Commencement function is not available. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hoping for a quick resolution. Please continue to check your portal when you can and keep an eye out for emails so you can be ready to register for commencement when it becomes available again.

Bernard

I am a double major obtaining degrees in business and humanities. I am assuming I will only be able to choose one ceremony to walk/participate in. Is this correct? Also, since these are both BA degrees, does that mean both will be listed on one diploma, or will I receive 2 separate diplomas?

Camille Johnson

Hi Bernard! You'll have the option to choose both ceremonies. Some ceremonies overlap though, so you may want to check the schedule on the Commencement website. Both degrees will be listed on your diploma--there will not be two separate documents.

Jose Bernal

I don’t see the link to register for commencement, I did all the steps required and I’m a candidate for summer 2022. What can I do ?

Camille Johnson

Hi Jose! If you just completed the process to become a candidate, it may take a couple of business days for that all to process and for the button to appear on your portal. If this has all been done for a while now, you may want to check your portal to make sure that you don't have any outstanding holds or items on your to-do list that need to be cleared. The Commencement Team should also be able to provide some guidance and can be reached at [email protected].

Nicolette Nugent

I registered for summer 2022 graduation because I won't have all my credits completed until summer but I still want to walk for graduation in May 2022. I don't see anywhere on my academic records where I can register for commencement. Am I still waiting on approval or are there extra steps I need to take for this process?

Camille Johnson

Hi Nicolette! If you just applied for summer graduation, it may take a while for everything to get processed on the back end. The registration link should appear after the grad check has been completed and the grad application and fees have been processed. In your portal there should be a link to "View Graduation Status" which will give you more of an idea of whether or not your grad check is pending. You may also want to reach out to your major advisor to check that everything is moving along smoothly.

Daniel

How do I request DSS assistance for Commencement? I am 100% sure I saw this option while registering for Commencement, but I lost track of where that was located. Also, can a family member provide assistance during the event, or does it have to be faculty? Thanks

Lori Arthur

Hi Daniel! You can find more information on accommodations at the Access for Commencement webpage: http://www.fullerton.edu/dss/commencement. I didn't see anything about whether a family member can provide assistance, so I would recommend reaching out to DSS at by phone: (657) 278-3112 or email: [email protected]. If you're on campus, you can also visit them in Gordon Hall Room 101 between 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday.

Daisy

When filling out " your name to read" do we have to fill it out
First name, last name. or Last name, first name?

Camille Johnson

Hi Daisy! You can fill it out as you like. First name and then last name seems to be more common but if you enter in your surname first, then the reader will say it as entered.

Michael Nickel

Are there no more tickets to hand out for this event?

Camille Johnson

Hi Michael! All graduates should be allotted up to 8 tickets up until the registration deadline of April 22. If there are a lot of unclaimed tickets after that, the Commencement Team may reassess. You may want to reach out to [email protected] for more information as the team monitoring this article is not affiliated with commencement planning.

Hunter

I was unable to print my 8 tickets at the time I sign up. I can't figure out how to get back to those tickets. Is there a way I can find them?

Viet Le

As of right now, I can confirm that I am attending the ceremony. However, if I back out or cannot go last minute, what do I do to notify the administration, so they won't call my name when I am not there?

Camille Johnson

Hi Viet! There is no prepared list of names to be read at the ceremony. When you complete the MarchingOrder registration, a GradPass is generated for you to either print or pull up on your phone the day of Commencement. During the ceremony, graduates line up and show their GradPass before going on stage. Their information will be read based on the GradPass. Because of this, you don’t need to inform anyone ahead of time that you won’t be attending.

Camille Johnson

Hi Hunter! If you entered an email address in MarchingOrder, the tickets should have been emailed to that address. Also, you should be able to access them in MarchingOrder (scroll to the bottom to access the tickets.) If you are unable to do so, you may want to contact [email protected] to check that everything went through.

Jasmine Franklin

I was too late to register for tickets. Is there any way I can still register?

Camille Johnson

Hi Jasmine! Email the university Commencement team at [email protected] to see if they can help you out. You may want to reach out to your college/department commencement committee as well.

If you aren't able to get tickets from them, you can see if you have any classmates that have extras. Each ticket is coded for a particular ceremony, so make sure the ticket matches the ceremony you want to go to.

Alan

How do we print out our Gradpass? I have completed commencement registration on time and I have printed my guest tickets. However, I do not see an option to print my grad pass in the MarchingOrder account? Will the gradpass be emailed later this month?

Camille Johnson

Hi Alan! GradPasses will be issued in May, so keep an eye on your email next month.

Daisy

If name is spelled wrong or is out of order, how can you get that fixed?

Camille Johnson

Hi Daisy! Please reach out to the Commencement team at [email protected].

Jacob

Hello! I wanna add more guests to the ceremony? Is it possible?

Camille Johnson

Hi Jacob! Since the deadline has passed to order tickets through the portal, please contact the Commencement Team at [email protected] regarding your question.

serena

Hi, I didn't know there was a separate page to apply for graduation after you paid the 115 fee. I've been on bed rest the whole semester due to medical reasons so after I had the grad check done and paid that fee I never realized there was another form to fill out. I have access to the 8 tickets but i don't have access to my grad pass. If someone could please help me out I am so bummed and crying.

Camille Johnson

Hi Serena! I've heard that students that didn't register for commencement will be given a special card at the event in lieu of a Grad Pass. However, I'm not completely certain of the details. Please reach out to the university Commencement team ([email protected]) and your college Commencement committee to confirm.

Sonia Gil-Cornejo

the website is not allowing me to register for commencement ceremony or the tickets. How can I ensure I am registered for both?

Alex Soler

Is there a way to specifically ask for handicapped seats?

Camille Johnson

Hi Sonia! Please contact the Commencement team at [email protected] so they can look into your data in the MarchingOrder registration site.

Camille Johnson

Hi Alex! You can request accommodations by completing the Request for Disability Access Form by May 15. A link to the form and more information can be found at: http://www.fullerton.edu/dss/commencement/

Arith Colin

How do you arrange for a handicap seat?

Camille Johnson

Hi Arith! You can request accommodations by completing the Request for Disability Access Form by May 15. A link to the form and more information can be found at: http://www.fullerton.edu/dss/commencement/

Santiago

I graduate Fall 23 do I need to apply for my commencement now?

Kaelynn

How do I go back to do the phone recording of my name for graduation.

Camille Johnson

Hi Santiago! It's recommended to apply for graduation at least a semester before your expected graduation date. You can apply now if you can, but you have until September 3 to apply for Fall 202 graduation in case you need to sort things out.

Camille Johnson

Hi Kaelynn! You can contact the Commencement team to ask about recording your name. They can be reached at [email protected].

Hailey Gomez

Do students who are walking by going to the Late Registration desk going to be given tickets? Or are they supposed to find tickets on their own?

Camille Johnson

Hi Hailey! Please ask the Commencement team about this at [email protected].

Ryan Oentojo

Hi! I'm going to be walking in the May 22nd Graduation, I applied for commencement registration on April 1st, I have the email to prove it, But today when I clicked to manage my tickets again I accidentally clicked on submit and now it says " Form last submitted May 20th" and it says " registration is closed". It was a complete accident, Did I do something wrong? does this affect anything ?

Camille Johnson

Hi Ryan! Congrats on graduating! Since registration has been closed, I don't think the resubmission should be an issue. You can check with the Commencement team at [email protected] or on the day of your ceremony, ask the folks at the check-in table for graduates.

Rebecca Rice

Do students who are walking by going to the Late Registration desk going to be given tickets? Or are they supposed to find tickets on their own?

Camille Johnson

Hi Rebecca! The automated message that Commencement is sending out says that extra tickets are not available. You can try to contact your College Commencement Coordinator to see if there's anything they can do, but you might also want to ask your classmates if they have any extra tickets. Here's where you can find contact information for the College Commencement Coordinators: https://www.fullerton.edu/commencement/preparing/questions.php

Good luck!
