Dropping a class with a waitlisted status.

Camille Johnson

Hi Cristina! These steps also work for dropping waitlist classes.

Please be aware that there are deadlines to drop classes using this method, which can be found on the registration guides on the Registration and Records website (http://records.fullerton.edu/registration/registrationguides.php). The deadline to drop via Titan Online was February 6.

If you need further assistance, you can contact Registration and Records at: http://records.fullerton.edu/contact/index.php

I am trying to drop a class that starts 3/11 and its withdraw dates are from now till 3/24th without a grade of “W”. I've been trying but I keep getting the message:
"You cannot drop this class at this time, the deadline to self-drop has passed. You must submit a Student Course Withdrawal request."
How can I do that?

Camille Johnson

Hi Anh! more information about the Student Course Withdrawal Request, as well as a link to the actual form can be found at: http://records.fullerton.edu/services/withdrawal.php

Celeste

I dropped the classes successfully, do I need to fill out a different form/take different steps to get a refund? Or is it automatic?

Camille Johnson

Hi Celeste! Refunds are automatically generated for eligible students who drop online before the deadline. You're eligible for a partial refund if you go from full-time to part-time status or a full refund if you drop all classes. If you have additional questions, you can contact Student Business Services at [email protected].

Ann Adajar

For summer of 2023 when is the final dropped date?

Camille Johnson

Hi Ann! It depends on what summer session the class is scheduled for. Please view the Summer 2023 important deadlines page for information on drop deadlines: https://extension.fullerton.edu/summer/dates.aspx

Maile Kahananui

I am trying to unenroll from Fullerton and one of my classes won't unenroll me or let me drop from the course, how should I go around fixing this? It is a prerequisite course.

Camille Johnson

Hi Maile! The section might be set up in a way that permission is required to drop. Some GEs are set up this way. You can contact Registration and Records at [email protected] or 657-278-7601 to request that you be administratively dropped from the class. When you contact them, please provide your CWID and the course information (course number. section and/or class number).

Griselda Valdez

Hi! I am a student at Cal Poly Humboldt enrolled in a CSU Fully Online class and the system will not let me drop the course. I've called the office and left to messages and no one has contacted me back. I need to figure this out as soon as possible because of the deadline

Camille Johnson

Hi Griselda! If you are encountering issues dropping the course and haven't been able to reach Registration and Records by phone, you may fare better sending them an email at [email protected] or using their helpdesk which you can find on their website at: https://records.fullerton.edu/contact/index.php

William Loranca

Hi! I enrolled in a class but it does not allow me to drop the class, as I enrolled last second to it but the class unfortunately doesn't align with my schedule and I wont be able to attend class because of work but when I try to drop the class, all it pops up is "Cannot drop class number #17957 as it is used to complete Pathway Courses/GE requirements." Any help is appreciated as I really cannot attend this class.

Camille Johnson

Hi William! At this time, you must contact an academic advisor for approval to drop ENGL 101. If they approve, they must send an email to Registration and Records at [email protected] granting permission to move forward with the drop. For your major, you can reach out to [email protected] to get in touch with an advisor.

Drake

I am enrolled in 3 classes but need to drop 1 class as I only need 2 classes to graduate. The site is not allowing me to drop the extra class. I keep getting this message "You cannot drop this class. Dropping this class would not meet the minimum required units."

Camille Johnson

Hi Drake! That looks like a error that's usually associated with student athletes. If you're an athlete, please contact Athletics Academic Services to obtain the necessary permissions to drop the course. You can find their information on their website at: https://www.fullerton.edu/aas/

If you are not a student athlete, please reach out to Registration and Records for assistance at [email protected] or 657-278-7601.
