Approving Requests in Coursedog
This guide provides instructions on approving course scheduling requests in Coursedog.
Approvers typically have 4 days from receipt to submit a decision on a request.
1. Log in to Coursedog. If prompted, select Scheduling.
2. Select Requests from the Scheduling Management menu on the left-hand side of the page.

3. Select Vote Required.
The numbers in the boxes next to the request types indicates how many requests there are.
5. View the request information. Then, select what you would like to do with the request and click Submit Decision.
Does the request need modifications? View instructions on editing a request.
Note: If you make edits, the workflow will reset and the request will route back to the author (initiator/department scheduler) to re-approve the edit.
- Review the request information.
- Select the action you want to take (i.e. Approve, Reject, Route Back). You can also enter information in the comments if you need to clarify your decision.
- Click Submit Decision.
- If you do not submit a decision by the deadline, note what action will be taken.
