How Does an Initiator Resubmit an Access Request Form After a Manager Rejects It?

This article explains what to do when a CMS PeopleSoft Access Request Form is rejected by a manager and needs to be resubmitted.

Please note that the Access Request Form process is being transitioned from My Workplace to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). At the moment, only the Finance Access Request Form has been moved to AEM; all other Access Request Forms are still in My Workplace.

What type of Access Request Form are you reviewing?

Finance Access Request Form

It is recommended that you use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to access Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Do NOT use Internet Explorer.

1. The initiator is notified via email when an Access Request Form has been rejected. Read the email for more details and instructions.

This email will specify which Access Request Form has been rejected and by whom. The email also contains instructions on how to open the form.

2. To review the request form, log in to the campus portal and access Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Inbox.

  1. Enter "adobe" in the portal search box.
  2. Select Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Workflow Inbox.

3. Enter your campus username and password. Then click Sign In.

  1. Enter your campus username and password. This is the same information you use to log on to the campus portal.
  2. Then click Sign In.

4. Click on the Finance ARF that you want to review/resubmit.

You should have been taken directly to the My Tasks tab, but if you are on another screen, just click My Tasks to view all of the forms that are pending your review.

5. Click on Signatures. Review any comments left by the manager to determine how to proceed.

  1. Click Signatures.
  2. Based on the comment/s, you can determine what needs to be changed and whether to resubmit the form or delete and start over.

6. Click on Finance Roles to edit the request or click Delete Request if you need to submit a separate ARF and delete the current one.

  1. Click on Finance Roles to make changes to the security request.
    OR
  2. Click Delete Request to delete the form. You will need to initiate a new ARF to request access for the employee.

7. If you choose to reprocess the form, you can make the requested changes to the form, then click Submit to resubmit.

Other Access Request Form (Human Resources, Campus Solutions, Finance Delegation of Authority)

1. The initiator is notified via email when an Access Request Form has been rejected. Read the email for more details and instructions.

This email will specify which Access Request Form has been rejected and by whom. The email also contains instructions on how to open the form.

2. To review the Access Request Form, log in to the campus portal using Internet Explorer or Safari and access My Workplace.

2.1. If you've logged in with Internet Explorer, a Browser Support message will appear.

Select the link in the message that says "Click here to access My Workplace."

If this is the first time you are accessing Access Request Forms on this device, check your Compatibility View settings in Internet Explorer to make sure the form loads properly for you. To learn how to change your settings, view Changing Compatibility View in Internet Explorer.

2.2. If you've logged in with Safari, click on My Workplace in the Titan Online widget or click on the cube icon and select My Workplace.

  1. In the Titan Online widget, click My Workplace.
  2. Or click on the Quick Shortcut Titan Online Apps cube icon.
  3. Then click on My Workplace.

3. In My Workplace, click on My Work and then select the Access Request Form to be resubmitted.

Select the rejected Access Request Form from the list.

4. Review any comments left by the manager to determine how to proceed.

On the Finance and Campus Solutions ARFs, comments can be viewed on the Employee Information page. On the Human Resources ARF, you will need to click on the Signatures tab to view comments on the Signatures page.

Based on the comments, you can determine what needs to be changed and whether to resubmit the form or delete and start over.

5. From the drop-down menu, select whether to Reprocess or Delete.

If the initiator chooses Reprocess, they will be taken back to the original form to make changes.

If the initiator chooses Delete, the entire form will be deleted and they will have to submit a new form.

6. If you choose to Reprocess the form, you can now make the requested changes to the form and click Launch to submit the modified form.

7. Click the Complete button.

Click on Complete to resubmit or delete the form.
