Filled Seats By Class Type Report
This article covers how to run and interpret the Filled Seats By Class Type report on the Course Enrollments dashboard.
What does this report show?
The Filled Seats By Class Type report shows the summary of the enrollment capacity, filled seats and unfilled seats based on class type. The Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table. The graph displays the comparison between the filled seats and unfilled seats, and it is logarithmic. The table displays the terms, level (class type), enrollment capacity count, filled seats count, unfilled seats count.
1. Log in to the campus portal and access TitanInsights.
2. Click Shared folders to access dashboards/reports.
4. Select Course Enrollment.
5. Select the Course Enrollment dashboard.
6. Then click on the Filled Seats By Class Type tab.
- Select the Filled Seats By Class Type tab.
- If you don't see the tab, click the double right arrow button to scroll through the report tabs.
Report Overview
When you access the report, your personal filters/settings for the dashboard/report appear. If you have not set up your personal filters, the system defaults will automatically populate.
Report Filters
The first section of the report contains the available filters. Utilize the filters to narrow down your report results or find specific values.
Filter Descriptions
Filter | Description |
---|---|
College | The college(s) you want to include on the report. |
Department | The department(s) you want to include in the report. The values in the Department column are filtered based on the College value, so when you choose a College, you will only see Departments that are in that College. |
Term | The specific semester/session for which you want to view data. |
Reading the Chart
The Filled Seats By Class Type chart shows the number of classes with filled and unfilled seats broken down by class type (e.g., 100 Level, 200 Level, 300 Level, 400 Level, Graduate). You can hover your mouse over each section of each bar on the chart to see the specific counts.
Reading the Table
The Filled Seats By Class Type table also shows the number of classes with filled and unfilled seats broken down by class type (e.g., 100 Level, 200 Level, 300 Level, 400 Level, Graduate). Additionally you can see the enrollment capacity of each class type.
Column | Description |
---|---|
Term Description | The specific semester or session. |
Level | The level of the courses (e.g., 100 Level, 200 Level, 300 Level, 400 Level, Graduate). |
Enrollment Capacity | The number of enrolled students that the classes in the level can support. |
Filled Seats | The number of students enrolled in classes at this level. |
Unfilled Seats | The number of available spots in classes at this level. |
