Degree Progress Detail Report
This article covers how to run and interpret the Degree Progress Detail report on the Degree Progress dashboard.
This user guide assumes basic knowledge of TitanInsights. View the TitanInsights Basics & Overview guides for more information.
Please use Google Chrome to open the Degree Progress dashboard for optimal performance.
Accessing the Report
If you do not see the TitanInsights icon in your Titan Online widget, you may not have submitted an Access Request Form to request this access. View instructions on the Access Request Form process.
1. Access the TitanInsights Degree Progress dashboard.
2. Click the Degree Progress Detail tab on the Degree Progress dashboard.
Report Controls
1. Click the caret to expand the Controls section. Click into the Student ID menu and then type the student's CWID into the search value field. Click Search.
- Expand the Controls section by clicking the caret in the top right corner of the report page.
- Click the Student ID menu to open the search.
- Enter the student's CWID into the search value field.
- Click Search.
2. Select the student's CWID from the search results to view their degree progress summary.
Reading the Tables
Student Degree Progress Summary Table
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Degree Program | Academic program in a specific discipline |
| Audit Run Date | Run date of the audit used to extract degree progress data |
| Estimated Units Needed | The estimated number of units still needed to complete degree program |
| Degree Program Status | Completion status of degree program |
| GEA | Number of GE Area A (Core Competencies) units that still need to be completed |
| GEB | Number of GE Area B (Scientific Inquiry & Quantitative Reasoning) units that still need to be completed |
| GEC | Number of GE Area C (Arts & Humanities) units that still need to be completed |
| GED | Number of GE Area D (Social Sciences) units that still need to be completed |
| GEE | Number of GE Area E (Lifelong Learning & Self Development) units that still need to be completed |
| GEZ | Number of GE Area Z (Cultural Diversity) units that still need to be completed |
| GE Residence Unit | Number of GE units taken at CSUF that still need to be completed |
| GE UD Unit | Number of upper-division GE units that still need to be completed |
| GE Units | Total number of GE units that still need to be completed |
| Major | Number of major requirements units that still need to be completed |
| Major Option | Ignore (internal code) |
| UD Writing | Number of upper-division writing units that still need to be completed |
| Additional Major Requirements | Number of major requirements that still need to be completed |
| Minor | Number of units required for the minor that still need to be completed |
| CERT | Certificate program |
| Cumulative Units | Cumulative number of units applied toward the degree that still need to be completed |
| Upper-Division Units | Number of upper-division units that still need to be completed |
| Major GPA | GPA of all units attempted in the major |
| Grad Check Stats | Degree checkout status |
| Default | Ignore (internal code) |
Student Degree Progress Detail Table

| Requirement Title | Degree program requirement title |
| Status | Completion status of a degree program requirement |
| GPA Needed | Minimum GPA required, if applicable |
| Units Completed (Req) | The total number of units completed for a specific degree program requirement |
| Units Required (Req)[Completed+Needed] | The total number of units required to complete a specific degree program requirement (completed + estimated units needed) |
| Units Needed to Complete(Req) | The remaining number of units the student needs to complete in order to satisfy a specific degree program requirement |
| Sub Requirement Title | Degree program sub-qequirement title |
| Sub Requirement Status | Completion status of a degree program sub-requirement |
| Units Completed (SubReq) | The total number of units completed for a specific degree program sub-requirement |
| Units Required (SubReq)[Completed+Needed] | The total number of units required to complete a specific degree program sub-requirement (completed + estimated units needed) |
| Units Needed to Complete(SubReq) | The remaining number of units the student needs to complete in order to satisfy a specific degree program sub-requirement |
| Take ==>line | List of courses that the student can take to fulfill the sub-requirement |
| Course Year Term Taken | The term and year that the student took the class |
| Catalog Year | Student's term of entry which determines graduation requirements |
| Courses | List of courses that the student has taken to satisfy the requirement/sub-requirement |
| Course Title | Course title for each course taken |
| Course Grade Earned | Grade earned for each course taken |
| Registered Credit | Attempted/enrolled units for each course taken |
