Course Enrollment Overview

This article contains an overview of the Course Enrollment dashboard including: important information about the reports and available reports.

Important Information About These Reports

The reports in the Course Enrollments dashboard allows users to obtain information on courses, course waitlist, course enrollment and course enrollment capacity. The user can obtain the information by college, department and term. In this dashboard, the course enrollment by academic level, admit type and historical pattern is provided.

Available Reports

The following reports are currently available for the Course Enrollments dashboard:

  • Waitlist Summary Report: The Waitlist Summary report shows a summary of courses and sections with students on the waitlist. The top section of the report includes a total course and total section count as well as waitlist course and section counts. The chart shows the top 10 course sections with waitlisted students and the table provides more specific details about the top 10 course sections.
  • Course Waitlist Report: The Course Waitlist report shows a summary of courses with students on the waitlist, dropped, enrolled and percentage enrolled to capacity. Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report is available in pivot and graph format. By selecting the View By drop down, the user can switch between the Pivot Table and Graph. The user can navigate to the class detail information by clicking on Class Number. Also, the user can identify the person id of the students who are in the Waiting Student Count.
  • Under Enrolled Summary Report: The Under Enrolled Summary report shows a summary of courses with students who are enrolling on a course. Report can be filtered by college, department, term and course component. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table which display the top 10 sections. In the table, the student enrolled, enrollment capacity and the difference are shown. The user can navigate to the class detail information by clicking on Class Number.
  • Course Under-Enrolled Report: The Course Under-Enrolled report shows detailed information of courses who are enrolling on a course. Report can be filtered by college, department, term and course component. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has 3 different views: Table, Enrolled Vs Capacity Count, and Percentage Enrolled. In the table, the class information along with enrollment capacity, student enrollment count, percentage enrolled, and the class status are displayed. The user can navigate to the class detail information by clicking on Class Number. In the Enrollment Vs. Capacity Count graph, the comparison between enrollment and capacity count measures are shown in a bar chart. The user can filter for different departments. In the Percentage Enrolled graph, the enrollment percentage is a bar chart is show. The user can filter for different departments.
  • Reg/Not Reg By Academic Level Report: The Reg/Not Reg By Acad Level report shows the summary of the number of registered students and not-registered students based on academic level and department. Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table. The graph displays the comparison between the registered students and non-registered students, and it is logarithmic. The table displays the number of students eligible to register in 2 different categories: registered and not registered.
  • Reg/Not Reg By Admit Type Report: The Reg/Not Reg By Admit Type report shows the summary of the number of registered students and non-registered students based on Admit Type and department. Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table. The graph displays the comparison between the registered students and non-registered students, and it is logarithmic. The table displays the number of students eligible to register in 2 different categories: registered and not registered.
  • Filled Seats By Class Type Report: The Filled Seats By Class Type report shows the summary of the enrollment capacity, filled seats and unfilled seats based on class type. The Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table. The graph displays the comparison between the filled seats and unfilled seats, and it is logarithmic. The table displays the terms, level (class type), enrollment capacity count, filled seats count, unfilled seats count.
  • Reg by Acad Level and First Enroll Date Report: The Reg by Acad Level and First Enroll Date report shows the enrollment count for each day during the term based on academic level. The Report can be filtered by college, department and term. The department values in the filter are cascaded from the college. The report has a graph and table. The graph consists of a line and bar chart. The line is the enrollment count, which is changing gradually, and the bar chart is the enrollment count for each day in the term. The table displays the count of enrollments, based on the academic level and department.|
  • Historical Pattern for Course Registration Report: The Historical Pattern for Course Registration report shows the enrollment count for each day during the registration period for each course and term. The Report can be filtered by term and course. The report has a graph and table. The graph and table show the number of students enrolled in each. The table has the Term Desc, Course, Enrollment Date, and Number of Students.
