My Courses Report

This article covers how faculty can use the My Courses report on the Faculty Student Success Dashboard (FSSD).

What does this report show?

The My Courses report provides a summary of a specific class/section for a term, including headcount, FTEs, GPA, and grade distribution.

Accessing the report

1. Log in to the campus portal and access the Faculty Dashboard (FSSD).

2. Click on the My Courses tab.

Report Overview

By default, no data will show on this report. You must select a specific Class to see data.

  1. Report filters
  2. My Courses: This section shows details about the selected Class.
  3. Course GPA: This graph shows the course GPA for this Class as compared to similar course GPAs.
  4. Repeat Eligible Students (C- or Less): This graph shows the percentage of students who were eligible to repeat the selected Class as compared to similar courses.
  5. Grade Distribution Graph: This graph shows the grade distribution for the selected Class as compared to similar courses.
  6. Additional details about this report and where to get help.
  7. A link to the FSSD Bot for assistance with this report.

Report Filters

You must use the filter at the top to select a Term and Class for this report.

Learn more about how to use filters in TitanInsights, including how to search for a value you want (e.g., searching for a specific term like Summer 2024).

Filter Descriptions

Filter Description
Term Desc The academic term for which you want to view data.
Class (Choose Class) Choose from a list of the classes/sections for which you are an instructor.

My Courses

My Courses provides details about the specific Class you selected for the report.

Course GPA Graph

The Course GPA graph will show the average GPA for the Class you selected along with comparisons to similar courses.

In the example below, the GPA for MKTG-353-02 is being compared to the last 2 year average GPA for MKTG-353 classes, the average GPA for Marketing graduate division classes, and the average GPA for Marketing upper division classes.

Legend

The legend on the far right shows what each bar in the graph is showing. These options will differ depending on the specific Class you selected.

Repeat Eligible Students (C- or Less) Graph

The Repeat Eligible Students (C- or Less) graph will show the percentage of students who are eligible to repeat your selected Class along with comparisons to similar courses.

In the example below, the the percentage of students who are eligible to repeat MKTG-353-02 is being compared to the last 2 year average repeat percentage for MKTG-353 classes, the repeat percentage for Marketing graduate division classes, and the repeat percentage for Marketing upper division classes.

Legend

The legend on the far right shows what each bar in the graph is showing. These options will differ depending on the specific Class you selected.

Grade Distribution Graph

The Grade Distribution graph shows the grade distribution for each class/section by grade percent. Hover your mouse over each bar to see the specific grade percent for each class section.

Legend

The legend on the far right shows you which class/section is represented by each color in the bar graphs.
