HR Compensation

This article covers how to run and interpret the HR Compensation report in TitanInsights.

What does this report show?

This report provides an overview of your salary and benefits received from Cal State Fullerton. The information includes your total compensation (salary plus benefits) for your selected date range, a breakdown of the salary and benefits amounts paid by the CSU, benefits costs paid by the employee and CSU, and breakdown by benefits type.

This information is subject to rounding, projections, and estimates, so this report should not be used as an official earnings statement. As such, this information may not reflect the taxable wages values on your W-2.

Accessing the report

View instructions on accessing the HR Compensation report

1. Log in to the campus portal and access TitanInsights.

2. Click Shared folders to access dashboards/reports.

3. Click on the Human Resource folder.

5. Select HR Compensations.

Report Filters

The months follow calendar year numbering, so 1= January, 2= February, and so on.

  1. Select your CWID from the Person ID menu.
  2. Select the year for which you want to view your compensation details.
  3. Select a start month for the compensation year. (e.g. 1= January)
  4. Select an end month for the compensation year. (e.g. 12= December)

Total Compensation Statement

The Total Compensation Statement shows the combined amount of your compensation package, which includes your salary and employer benefits contributions.

  1. You will see the total value of your compensation package for the specified pay period.
  2. The Personal Summary table displays your name, position title, and the pay period that you selected from the report controls. If you held multiple positions over the duration of the pay period, you may see multiple rows in this table.

Total Compensation (Salary & Benefits)

 The Total Compensation (Salary & Benefits) section shows the total salary and benefits amounts that you've received during your specified pay period.

The pie chart provides a graphical representation of how much CSU has paid toward your benefits (represented by the darker color) and how much has been paid toward your salary (represented by the lighter color).

The table specifies the amount paid toward your benefits, the amount paid toward your salary, and the sum of salary and benefits.

Benefits Breakdown and Comprehensive Benefits Breakdown

The benefits that you see on your report may differ from what is pictured below based on your job classification, employee group, or benefits that you've signed up for or waived. If you have any questions about your benefits, please contact Total Wellness at DL-Total [email protected].

The Benefits Breakdown pie chart shows how much of your benefits have been paid by the CSU (represented by the darker color) and how much you have paid (represented by the lighter color.)

The Comprehensive Benefits Breakdown pie chart shows the types of benefits received within the selected pay period. You can hover your cursor over a slice to view the total balance amount of that benefit.

The table shows a breakdown of benefits deductions and contributions detailing amounts paid by the individual and by the CSU.
