Program Action Report - Do Not Publish

This article covers how to run and interpret the Program Action Report on the Admissions dashboard.

What does this report show?

The Program Action report shows charts and tables for all applicants for the term(s) selected by their actions on the program. The charts provide a visual representation of the data. The table shows the program action by academic program for each selected term. User can click on an academic program to view more details about the applicants for each major.

1. Log in to the campus portal and access TitanInsights.

2. Click the Admissions Dashboard in the Shared folders/Student.

3. Click the Program Action Report tab on the Admissions dashboard.

Report Overview

The Program Action Report will default to show all the current admit terms and all academic careers.

When you access the report, your personal settings for the report (page) appear. If you have not set up your personal settings, the system defaults will automatically populate.

Report Filters

The first section of the report contains the available filters. Click theControlssection to access and utilize the filters to narrow down your report results or find specific values.

Filter Descriptions

Filter Description
Academic Career The type of student data you wish to see. Values include:
  • PBAC (Post-Baccalaureates)
  • UGRD (Undergraduate)
Admit Term The academic term(s) for which you wish to see program action information.

Reading the Charts

You can hover over the bars in charts to see the specific count associated with each bar.

Both Program Action charts are showing you the same information, but the data is organized slightly differently.

The Program Action Report chart on the left of the screen shows the number of applicants by admit term.

The legend at the bottom of the chart shows which program action types are represented by the colored bars.

Reading the Table

The table presents the same information.

Column Description
Program Action Desc Indicate the program action by the applicants. Values include:
  • Admit
  • Application Withdrawal
  • Application
  • Defer Decision
  • Deny
  • Intention to Matriculate
  • Matriculation
  • Plan Change
  • Waitlist
Academic Program Indicates the type of academic program. Values include:
  • Extension Credit
  • Graduate Program
  • Graduate Self-Supt Exted Prog
  • Pbac Cal State Online 2nd BA
  • Pbac Certificate Self-Sup Ext
  • Postbaccalaureate 2nd Bachelor
  • Postbaccalaureate Certificate
  • Postbaccalaureate Credential
  • Postbaccalaureate Transitory
  • Undergrad Cal State Online
  • Undergrad Self-Supt Exted Prog
  • Undergraduate Program
  • Undergraduate Transitory
Academic Term(s) Number of applicants broken down by the selected terms.
Total Total number applicants for all the selected terms.
